Mailbox
What a unique and beautiful piece of art that is functional too! It has an approved regulation metal mailbox within it's frame of ceiling tin and crystal pendants. This mailbox has a roof made of one piece of authentic antique ceiling tin that was taken from a lodge building in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The sides of the mailbox are covered with two pieces of the same tin. The victorian look is added to by the front two gingerbread designs. There are two old spindles (various spindles used) that side the door of the mailbox, as well as a chain of crystal beads holding an antique skeleton key. The knob of the mailbox has been replaced with an antique doorknob (various antique knobs are used), and there are 4 new austrian crystal pendant drops that finish the shabby and chic look. It has been painted with a creamy white exterior paint and then distressed slightly to show the intricate pattern of the tin and some rust too. The mailbox measures approximately 24" long, 21" tall and 9" wide.
NOTE: Spindles, gingerbread and doorknobs will vary depending on availability. |
